Merry Christmas

What a nice surprise this was from Angie. She made a book of our trip to South Korea. She even had the names of the places right. Good thing she knew where we were in South Korea.
Here is the nice slippers Rachael got me for Christmas they are striped and we all know I love stripes. She got dad some niking pants and I got hiking poles so we will out hiking if you can not find us.
Dad is wearing the apron Tiffany and the girls made for him. Mine is not one but it is cuter than his. We love the aprons espcially the handprints. The picture is a family picture for Dad's office that Mike and Erin got for dad's office. His office needs lots of love and attention so that is really great.

I had a great birthday!!!!!

Cody, Janis 'Jill's mom, I celebrated our birthdays at Jill's house and we had a great time. Thanks everyone for calling home and wishing me a happy birthday and thanks for your wonderful thoughtful gifts. I love you all and wish every single one of you were home this Christmas. Maybe next year. But we are very happy to have Mike and Erin to help us with the Christmas spirit and very grateful that they live so close to us.

Fun in Las Vegas

Well, it has been a while since we added pictures to the blog. Here is your dad in Las Vegas getting his award from Devry. They really treated him very nice and we stayed a very nice resort at Lake Las Vegas. We would love to go back there some day. While we were there we were able to visit with Barbara and her family. Madison is really cute and Stacy looked really good and the Hinckley family is very proud of their new addition.

Fall with Family

This past week we had some family around for the Thanksgiving holiday. Rachael and Eric visited and we had some fun times visiting with them. I'm afraid we stressed Eric out a bit when he was assigned the 'major' task of preparing the mashed potatoes for the Thanksgiving Banquet--- however, he and Rachael came through with flying colors -- they were great.


We did a bit of hiking with Rach and Eric -- Here are a couple of shots from Peralta Trail in the Superstition Mountains. This first shot is taken from the top of Peralta Trail looking north to Weaver's Needle -- unfortunately we never found the Lost Dutchman's Mine on this trip.

The second shot is below the top looking south towards Tucson. This is the first time that Kris was in good enough shape to make it to the top. Of course, I did my usual sterling job -- just a few knee problems on the way down from the top.


Later during the week we celebrated Mike's birthday since Kris and I are going to Las Vegas next weekend and will miss his birthday. Mike is getting to be an old man and almost set off the smoke alarm when he had to blow out so many candles.

However, regardless of his physical age -- he is still a kid at heart and enjoyed playing with his new toy (it is a remote control helicopter that you can see in the foreground)

Fall in South Korea

Well, here we go for a first posting. We spent 10 days in South Korea with Angie. She is such a superb hostess and tour guide. We never had a boring moment and loved everything we saw and did. Here is a short (only 100+ pictures) of our experience -- Angie has a lot of pictures, from her perspective.
